November 23th -26th, 2010

Since its integration into the European Union, Poland became the largest market in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2007, expenditure for environmental protection amounted to 40 billion zloty (PLN), or 14 billion Canadian dollars.
The growth of the environmental sector in Poland is due in large part by the support of European funding. During 2007-2013, the sector of environmental benefits from EU structural funds amounting to $ 12.5 billion. These funds are supplemented by regional funds, which can develop large projects.
For Canadian companies, this represents an opportunity to enter the Polish market to offer new technologies and know-how.
